Tricoryne (Asphodelaceae [formerly part of Liliaceae]) 4b:390

Tasmania has one native species of Tricoryne (T. elatior, yellow rushlily). This is a rare species of lowland grasslands of Northern Tasmania. It has wiry, erect stems with grass-like leaves and conspicuous yellow, terminal flowers with tufts of hairs about half way up the stamen filaments. The flowers are of similar size and colour as those of Hypoxis, but the latter does not have hairy filaments and has inferior ovaries.
