| Rosa
canina (dog rose) is a reasonably common
introduced woody weed. It is spiny, and easily distinguished
from Blackberry and
other brambles by habit - it lacks the long spindly stems of
brambles. It is more similar to the more common sweet briar
(R. rubiginosa),
but the leaves are not covered with hairs on the lower
surface. |
