| Clematis
aristata (mountain clematis) is a widespread
and abundant native climbing species. It is often found in
the understorey of wet forest (but rarely in
rainforest). It is similar to another common
native species, C.
clitorioides, except the leaves tend to be
toothed, have three leaflets (rather than 3-5) and the
tepals are hairy underneath. |
