CELASTRACEAE (includes
former STACKHOUSIACEAE) 1:111
Tasmania has five native species of Stackhousia
in this family. Two naturalised genera, Euonymus
and Maytenus, also occur, but are not detailed on
this website.
The native herbs, except S.
pulvinaris, have flowers in terminal spikes in
which the petals are free but are held together above the
base by fine hairs to form an elongate tube with spreading
lobes.
