Richea sprengelioides (Ericaceae) 2:457

| Richea
sprengelioides is a common and widespread alpine or
subalpine species (especially in the central and eastern
mountains). It has shorter, broader leaves than
R. acerosa. It is, however, most readily
confused with R. procera,
which is a lowland species in which the most mature flowers
are at the base. It can also be confused with Sprengelia
incarnata, which, however, lacks the circular
leaf scars around the stems. |
