| Leptecophylla
parvifolia (cheeseberry or mountain pinkberry) is a
dense shrub with sharply pointed leaves typical of the
genus. It grows in open eucalypt woodland and forest, rarely
exceeds 2 m in height, and typically occurs at elevations
> 500 m. It is an abundant species in some areas (e.g.
Central Plateau). It may be confused with L.
oxycedrus, but that species is typically taller
(> 3m), has larger leaves, and is found near the coast at
lower elevation. |
