Leptecophylla
oxycedrus (coastal pinkberry) is a dense shrub with
sharply pointed leaves typical of the genus. This species
occurs in coastal lowland areas where it typically grows as
a large shrub to a small tree (often taller than 3 m). It is
closely related to L.
parvifolia, with which it may be easily be
confused. However L. parvifolia typically grows at
higher elevations (< 500m) and is often shorter (<
2m).
