Limonium baudinii (tasmanian sea-lavender) is a rare coastal plant that closely resembles its relative, L. australe. It grows near the waters edge in grassy patches of saltmarsh. It is only known from a couple of sites near Triabunna on the east coast.

The leaves are fairly succulent, more or less spoon shaped with quite a long petiole and occur in a rosette. The flowers have yellow petals, but the white, papery sepals fused into a tube are more obvious. The flowers occur in complex, many flowered complex inflorescences. The flowers only occur on one side of the inflorescence branches.
