Flowers unisexual. Male flowers have a
5-lobed perianth and 5 stamens. Female flowers have no
perianth. Fruit are enclosed between two enlarged
bracteoles.

unisexual or bisexual, all with 1-5 perianth members and 1-5
anthers. Enlarged bracteoles absent in fruit.
