Microseris walteri (Asteraceae) not in the Student's Flora

Microseris walteri
is a lowland perennial up to 50 cm high. It is very similar to M. lanceolata and
M. scapigera but those species have several fleshy roots, while M. walteri has a single, fleshy root that expands to a tuber. The tuber is replaced annually and only rarely is more than one tuber produced or retained.
