Hypochaeris radicata (rough catsear) is an extremely common weed of grassy places in Tasmania. The rosettes are flat, the leaves are elongated and have a few rounded teeth, and the upper surface of the leaf has erect, somewhat stiff hairs. The plant usually has many flower heads.

It is usually larger (usually with rosettes about 10cm or more wide) than its relative, H. glabra, which also lacks the erect hairs.
