Tasmania
has one species of Eurychorda (E. complanata).
It is common native herb in waterlogged peats (especially
button grass sedgelands). It is a more-or-less typical
member of Restionaceae, with erect stems bearing several
scarious bracts, and terminal inflorescences of spikelets.
It is easily distinguished from all other Tasmanian
Restionaceae by its flattened stems- in all other species
the stems are circular in cross-section.
