Tasmania
has one species of Burnettia(B. cuneata;
lizard orchid). This is a short, erect, saprophytic
plant with flowers that are white or pink on the inside and
darker outside with conspicuous vertical stripes. It grows
on peaty soils and is conspicuous after fire.
