Thysanotus (Asparagaceae [formerly part of Liliaceae]) 4b:389   Thysanotus patersonii (twining fringelily) is a reasonably common native species of open vegetation of eastern Tasmania and the midlands. It is a slender, usually leafless twiner with smallish but conspicuous purple flowers. The margins of the petals are fringed.
