Nothoscordum
borbonicum, formerly known as N. gracile
(fragrant false-garlic or onion weed) is an
introduced species that resembles Allium (the
onion, leek and garlic genus), but lacks the distinctive
onion or garlic smell. This species has bulbs and narrow,
flat leaves. The flowers are in umbels on the ends of long,
erect stalks and are scented.
Note: Asphodelus is
also commonly called onion weed. |
