| Muscari
armeniacum (grape hyacinth) is a spring bulb grown in
many gardens throughout Tasmania. It is moderately widely
naturalised on or near the sites of old gardens. It is a
small plant with channelled leaves often about 10-15 cm
long. The inflorescence is distinctive. It is spike-like
(although the flowers are each stalked) and made of short
barrel-shaped blue flowers with narrow, white openings. |
