Ixia (Iridaceae) 4b:413 Tasmania has three introduced species of Ixia. The stems are flattened and the leaves are in two rows. The flowers occur in a spike. They are perennial herbs with annual leaves. At the base of each flower is the spathe, made up of two bracts.
