Lastreopsis hispida (Dryopteridaceae)

Lastreopsis hispida (bristly shield fern) is an uncommon native fern that grows in wet places in the understorey of rainforest in western Tasmania.  It is a moderate sized-fern with many times divided leaves. The more finely divided (almost feathery) leaves with hairy undersides distinguishes this species from L. acuminata.
