Blechnum nudum (Blechnaceae) Blechnum nudum (fishbone water fern) is a very common native ground fern in wet forests wherever they occur in Tasmania. It is a relatively large ground fern, sometimes developing a short trunk. The fronds are erect and pale green, and  often about 60-70cm long.
