Blechnum fluviatile (Blechnaceae)

Blechnum
fluviatile (ray water fern) is a common
native ground fern that grows near water both in rainforests
and in open places. Its habitat is relatively similar to
B. chambersii,
but it often grows at higher altitude and is smaller. It is
a smallish ground fern with dark green fronds often about
40cm long.
