Landoltia
punctata (dotted duckweed) (formerly Spirodela
polyrhiza) is the only member of this genus in
Tasmania. It is a free-floating native aquatic consisting of
a small thalus about 4 x 2 mm, generally with several roots
attached.
The thalus is often green on top and purplilsh underneath.
