Solanum mauritianum (Solanaceae) not

Solanum
mauritianum (tobacco bush) is an introduced, invasive
species, not yet widespread in Tasmania, with a single
record from Burnie.
It is a large shrub or small tree and it has densely hairy
leaves, yellowish green on top and grey underneath. The
leaves are between 9-30 cm long.
Purple flowers with bright yellow centres cluster at the
ends of branches.
