Solanum chenopodioides (Solanaceae)

Solanum chenopodioides is an introduced
perennial herb predominantly recorded in the Hobart area. It
has a sprawling habit, growing to 1 m high. It likes moist
locations such as riverbanks, wet winter ditches and
disturbed ground.
Leaves are 4-7 cm long and 2-4 cm wide.
From 5 to 10 white star-shaped flowers appear in loosely
formed groups on peduncles which are 1-2 cm long,during
spring and summer. The fruit is a blackish,
globose berry.
