| Boronia
is one of the more diverse genera in the native Australian
flora. Until recently, there were 11 species in
Tasmania. In 2020, B. anemonifolia and B.
nana were moved to the closely related Cyanothamnus
genus. The Boronia and Cyanothamnus species
all occur in heathy vegetation, but range from alpine areas
(e.g. B. citriodora and B. rhomboidea) to
dry heaths (e.g. B. pilosa). The leaves are
opposite, aromatic and often pinnate. The flowers have four,
free petals that are white or pinkish. |
