Coprosma robusta (karamu) is an uncommon, large
woody weed with large, quite thick, opposite leaves with
pointed apices. It differs from mirrorbush (C.
repens) in the leaf shape and texture
(mirrorbush has thicker, very glossy leaves that are rounded
with a blunt apex). It is also similar to the native species
C. hirtella
(coffeeberry), but differs in having larger leaves, with
less pointed tips.
