pascuinus
(pressed-hair buttercup) is a small, native,
alpine/subalpine rosette herb that is covered in appressed
hairs. It is quite common in grassy places in the eastern
mountains. The leaves are 1-3cm wide, with three leaflets or
three deep lobes, and are typically asymmetrical. The plant
has a single, conspicuous flower held on a tall, erect
stalk. The flower is up to 2.5 cm wide, with 5 golden yellow
petals that are purplish on the outer surface. |
