Ranunculus glabrifolius (shining buttercup) is
a widespread and quite common native herb that grows in wet
places, such as peaty stream banks and wet depressions. The
plant forms rosettes that are joined by stolons. The leaves
are dull green, often have longish petioles (to 15cm) and
the blades are divided into 3-5 leaflets, which are in turn
usually shallowly lobed. The flowers are glossy yellow and
about 15 mm wide and have 5-15 petals. |
