| Ranunculus
decurvus (nodding buttercup) is widespread and common
native species in wet places in alpine and subalpine
Tasmania. The leaves are in a radical rosette, and are
pinnate, with 3-5 broad, hairy leaflets. There is a single,
yellow-green flower held on a short stalk (much shorter than
the leaves when in flower, but elongating in fruit). It is
similar to R.
pimpinellifolius, which, however, has golden
yellow instead of green-yellow flowers and longer flowering
stalks (about 2-12cm). |
