Adonis (Ranunculaceae) not in The Student's Flora   Adonis microcarpa (pheasants eye)  is a herb with compoundly pinnate leaves, bright scarlet petals, and seeds (achenes) in an oblong head. Only a single record, from King Island, exists for this species and it is not considered naturalised in Tasmania.
