Tasmania
has one native and four introduced species of Glyceria (sweetgrass
or flotegrass). All are large perennial aquatic or
sub-aquatic species from rivers, ditches, dams etc.
The inflorescence is a panicle. The spikelets mostly have
many flowers, and lack awns.
