| Plantago
glabrata (subalpine plantain) is an endemic,
medium-sized, native rosette herb with a stout taproot that
sometimes branches. It is reasonably common in grassy places
in the eastern mountains. The leaves are up to 3-8cm long
with 1 or 2 longitudinal veins and long petioles. The leaves
usually have a few blunt teeth and are quite hairy with
septate (i.e. divided into separate cells) hairs. |
