Viola arvensis (Violaceae) 1:55 Viola arvensis (field pansy) is an uncommon, but widespread introduced annual or biennial. It appears to have been a garden escape. It has erect stems ovate or oval leaves and conspicuous flowers that are usually purple, but may be multicoloured.
