Valerianella locusta (Valerianaceae) not in The Student's Flora

Valerianella locusta (lambs lettuce) is an uncommon weed of grassy places. It is difficult to distinguish from the other two species (both introduced) of Valerianella, except in the form of the fruit. The growth habit of all three species is distinctive - the plants mostly branch dichotomously (i.e. into two equal branches).
