Reseda luteola (wild mignonette or weld) is a widespread and common weed species in waste places and roadsides. It is a biennial herb with a rosette that extends into a tall erect leafy stem with long flower spikes of small yellowish flowers. The leaves are entire and unlobed (typically 5-8cm long and about 1-2cm wide) and are glossy green with a distinctive undulating surface.
