Lythrum hyssopifolia (hyssops loosestrife or small loosestrife) is a relatively common native species, although it is often overlooked because of its diminutive habit. It is a slender upright occasionally branched herb that grows in seasonally wet places (e.g. roadside ditches). It has small, white to pinkish purple flowers.
