Euphrasia collina (tall eyebright) is the most widespread and perhaps most common of the Euphrasia species. It is common in open alpine and subalpine places, but also occur sporadically in a range of other habitats. It has typical eyebright leaves and flowers, but the distinctive feature is that the flower stem is more or less elongated with quite widely spaced flower pairs. Several varieties have been described, including plants that were previously described as E. gunnii and E. diemenica.
