Symophoricarpos albus (Caprifoliaceae) Not in The
Student's Flora
One
species of Symphoricarpos (S. albus) has become
naturalised in Tasmania. It is a dense shrub about 1m tall
with leaves which are elliptic to orbicular (sometimes lobed
on fresh shoots) and up to 7 cm long. The pink bell-shaped
flowers are in clusters and the fruit are pure white and
about 1 cm wide.
