Tasmania has one native species of Sambucus (S.
gaudichaudiana, native elderberry or white
elderberry), which is a shrub with pinnate leaves that grows
in forests, mainly in northern Tasmania. The European
species, elder (S. nigra, black elderberry), has
become established in waste areas, especially in urban
areas. |
