The
Zygophyllaceae family or twinleaf family is found mainly in
tropical and arid zones. It is represented in Tasmania
by Zygophyllum billardierei (coast twinleaf), a
perennial native herb found on Flinders and other eastern
Bass Strait Islands. It has fleshy leaves with two narrow
leaflets one or two centimetres long.
