Tasmania
has only one species of Cannabaceae. This is Humulus
lupulus (hop), a perennial climber to about 8 m high,
which perennates from rhizomes. Its leaves are
cordate, entire to deeply 3- or 5-lobed and 5-25 cm long
It has become sparingly naturalised around commercial
hopfields such as South Springfield in the northeast and
Bushy Park in the south.
