has two native species of Apocynaceae, and two introduced
species. Parsonsia brownii is a native climber that
grows in lowland wet forests. Alyxia buxifolia is a
native, coastal shrub common in northern Tasmania. Gomphocarpus
fruticosus of the milkweed family, is a
naturalised large woody herb with milky latex.
Vinca major is a common weedy creeper distinguished by
its largish, entire, opposite leaves and its conspicuous,
purple flowers.
