Rhizogonium novae-hollandiae (Rhizogoniaceae)

Rhizogonium novae-hollandiae is a common moss of wet forest and rainforest. It is usually found on  logs but also sometimes on tree trunks.

R. novae-hollandiae superficially resembles Leptotheca gaudichaudii but the latter species has spirally arranged leaves and has capsules borne from the tips of the shoots.
