Orthotrichum tasmanicum (Orthotrichaceae)

Orthotrichum tasmanicum is a pallid-looking moss that oftens forms fluffy cushions on horizontal branches or twigs in wet forest and rainforest. The leaves are ovate to tongue shaped and appear rather cumpled when dry. It resembles Ulota lutea and is best distinguished from that species by the lack of a border at the leaf base.
