Lopidium concinnum is a relatively common rain forest or wet forest epiphyte often found growing on the caudex of tree ferns.

The fronds are fan-shaped and when dry has an overall glaucous (whisth-greenish) appearance. The leaves are arranged in three ranks such that there is a row of leaves on the shoot underside that is reduced in size and is sometimes referred to as underleaves.

The capsules are borne on the upper side of the frond.
