Lawrencia squamata (Malvaceae) not in the Student's Flora

Lawrencia squamata is a small shrub that is found in dry saline places (e.g. Township Lagoon at Tunbridge). The foliage, with narrow, almost sessile, trilobed leaves covered in scales is unmistakable. The species is a common native species in dry, hot areas of mainland Australia, but it is not clear whether the Tasmanian populations are very rare natives or isolated introductions.
