Eucalyptus
ovata (known as black gum in Southern Tasmania and
swamp gum in Northern Tasmania), it is a widespread and
common species, usually found in somewhat poorly drained
soils. It has seven fruit per umbel. It is closely related
to E. rodwayi, E. brookeriana
and E. barberi.
