Treubia lacunosa is a relatively uncommon thallose liverwort
of wet shady places.
The thallus is distinctive, appearing almost translucent and
bearing numerous minute yellow dots easily visible under a hand
lens. Under a microscope, these dots are revealed to contain large
oil bodies.
