Aneura rodwayi (Aneuraceae)

Aneura rodwayi is relatively uncommon thalloid liverwort which has been recorded from two very different habitats: alpine bogs and limestone cliffs.

The thallus of A. rodwayi is very distinctive, being U-shaped in cross section and crinkled on the margins. The liverwort hence resembles a brain coral in appearance.
