Myriophyllum salsugineum (lake watermilfoil) is an uncommon native aquatic plant that is found in lakes and slow-flowing water courses.

The lower, submerged, leaves are pinnate (feather-like) and the upper, emergent, leaves are ovate and smaller.

Female flowers are in the axils of the lower leaves and male flowers in the axils of the upper leaves.
