| Tasmania
has four native species and four introduced species of Geranium
(cranesbill). These are all low growing herbs with palmately
lobed leaves. The character of the hairs on the stems and
peduncles and the degree of lobing are important in
distinguishing the species. There are also a few dubious
records of Geranium homeanum for Tasmania, but given
it's highly uncertain status in the state it has not been
included. |
